SAP Counselor NeededThe Powell County Detention Center is looking for a dedicated, compassionate individual interested in assisting residents of our facility with substance abuse disorders. Ideal applicants would possess a Bachelors Degree in social work, psychology or a related field and at least one year of professional experience in social work. I have a BSW and TCADC. I completed my senior practicum with the DOC ASK of Kentucky, under Matt Manley and I was able to spend some time with the SAP staff and Participants and would love the opportunity to work with this population.

I have a BUS from Morehead State University with education in sociology and psychology. I have many years of experience working in emergency dispatch, emergency medical services, public health, and law enforcement, as well as experience as a deputy jailer at the Powell County Detention Center. I feel I would bring education and job and life experience to this position.

I have a BSW, TCADC. Currently getting my Masters in Social Work. I have experience with DCBS and Case Management. Have knowledge of SAP and MRT. Have over a year experience in IOP which uses the Matrix Model and Anger Management as a teaching tool. I believe compassion, accountability along with education is the combination needed with the population I serve.

I have a Bachelors in Human Services and will be pursuing my MSW to have my LCSW working with people in addictions. I currently have five years experience working within the addictions and mental health fields. I have worked in Wrap services, IOP, facilitated soft skills, recovery, and anger management. I am very familiar with SAP.
